Still warm wax

A curtain stands still when the wind does not touch it, the folds give way when they meet the floor. Behind it, a vase and a candle that have not yet been lit are visible. A photograph taken with a long shutter speed, a still life encapsulated in its material.

Bio

Sanna Håkans' work evolves in close dialogue with the architecture of the exhibition space. By arranging sculptures, found objects, light and photography — seemingly frozen in time — she composes spatial situations that reflect on time’s inevitable movement towards loss and transformation.
